We’ve built two full landscapes in Tumble Creek, one around a pond and waterfalls and one around a new home’s dry creek beds, plus artificial turf beside a pool elsewhere in Suncadia. Homes here sit among tall pines between Cle Elum and Roslyn, and the landscapes that look right borrow from the woods around them: boulders, river rock, aspens and native pines, with water given a place to go.
Tumble Creek pond, waterfalls and dry creek
In spring and summer 2025 we built a pond with waterfalls for a Tumble Creek home. A large waterfall at the top cascades through a series of smaller falls on one side and a flowing creek on the other, all feeding the pond. Dry creek beds run in from both sides of the property and wind through the woods into beds of drought-resistant pines and native flowers.
Out front, more than 14 aspens make a grove among accent rocks, and natural stone steps lead from the back patio down to the water. We dug and stoned the basin in May, had the water on in July and finished the planting that summer.

Tumble Creek dry creek and new-home landscape
In summer 2026 we finished the landscape for a newly built Tumble Creek home. River-rock dry creek beds wind around the house and along both sides, with a small footbridge crossing near the covered back patio. Mulch berms carry boulders, young spruce and aspens, and river-rock beds frame the driveway entrance. Out back, curved artificial turf is edged with river rock and gravel, with a gravel path and a flagstone stepping path around it.
Turf beside a Suncadia pool
At another Suncadia home, one with a pool, keeping a small patch of perfect lawn alive didn’t make sense. We put in artificial turf and blended it into the rustic setting with river-rock borders, boulders and planted beds beside the patio.
Brandon & his team are fantastic. The crew is cheerful & personable. Many homes in our neighborhood use Swiftwater Earthworks for jobs large & small.
Designing for homes in the pines
Most Suncadia lots are wooded, and snowmelt runs through them every spring. Dry creek beds give that water a planned path while looking like they’ve always been there. Native pines, aspens, vine maples and drought-tolerant groundcovers handle dry summers and hard winters. With wildfire season in mind, we keep plantings sensible close to the house and can take care of lighter brush clearing around it.
Design review
Landscape changes in Suncadia go through the community’s design review. We’ve built there and work through the approval process with you, so the plan on paper and the work on the ground match. It’s one more reason to plan over the winter: it leaves room for review before spring.

Second homes and ongoing care
Many Suncadia owners aren’t here full time. Brandon can walk the property with you on your next visit, even with snow on the ground, and the plan comes together over the off-season so building starts early in spring.
Once it’s built, we offer landscape maintenance for homeowners and HOAs: mowing, bed refreshes, sprinkler care and the rest. HOAs get group rates, and when several homes on the same road sign up together, the price for everyone can drop a lot.
