Owning a place up here from a distance comes with a lot of what-ifs. Did the house come through the cold snap? Is the yard overgrown before the summer guests arrive? Who fixes the door the last renters broke?
Swiftwater Houseworks takes those questions off your list. We handle vacation home maintenance for second homes, cabins and short-term rentals around Cle Elum, Roslyn and Suncadia, and one local call covers the yard, the repairs, the cleaning and keeping an eye on the place. We’re local and bonded, and we’re glad to work while you’re away.
What vacation home care covers
- Check-ins. Home watch, in plain terms: someone walking through while the house sits empty, looking for leaks, trouble after a cold snap or a windstorm, and anything that needs attention before your next stay.
- Repairs. Doors, fixtures, drywall, fences and gates, handled between visits or between guests by our handyman services crew.
- Cleaning. Turnovers between guests, plus opening and closing the house for the season. See house cleaning for what’s included.
- The yard. Mowing, trimming, leaf clean-up and bed care through our landscape maintenance crews, plus spring sprinkler start-ups so the system is running before the dry season.

Short-term rental maintenance
The window between check-out and check-in is short, and the next guest’s review depends on the house looking cared for. We clean between stays with photo-proof checklists, offer same-day turnovers when the calendar is tight, fit small repairs in between guests and keep the yard looking like the listing photos.
When something breaks mid-season, you call one local number instead of hunting down a handyman, a cleaner and a yard crew separately.
For second-home owners
If you come up on weekends or for the summer, the house still needs care while you’re gone.
- Before you arrive. A clean house, everything working and a yard that’s been kept up.
- Spring opening. A fresh clean after the off-season, the sprinklers started up and the beds tidied.
- Summer. Regular yard care, plus some light clean-up and brush clearing around the house during wildfire season.
- Fall closing. A final clean, the garbage gone so nothing draws in wildlife, and a walk-through for anything that should be fixed before winter.
Brandon & his team are fantastic. The crew is cheerful & personable. Many homes in our neighborhood use Swiftwater Earthworks for jobs large & small.
Why one local call works
Homes are spread out up here, and normally the cleaner, the handyman and the yard crew are three different calls that don’t talk to each other. When it’s one company, problems get noticed sooner. The person cleaning the kitchen spots the drip under the sink, and it goes on the repair list instead of waiting for your next visit.
You get one number to call, and people who know your property.
