Landscape design

Landscape Design & Installation in Cle Elum

We walk your property, draw a plan for its slope, soil, sun, snow and water, then build it with our own crew. Sketch to stone, one team the whole way.

Winter is design season

Plans drawn over the winter are first on the build schedule when the ground thaws.

A yard in the upper county has a lot to put up with. Snow sits on it for months, melt runs across it every spring, and by August it may not have seen rain in weeks. Good landscape design plans for all of that first, then makes the place look the way you pictured it.

How a project runs

We walk the property with you. Brandon will walk it with you and look at the things that decide what will work: how steep it is, what the soil is like, where the sun lands, where snow piles up and where the water goes when it melts. Then we listen to how you want to use the place.

We draw the plan. The plan is built around slope, soil, sun, snow and water, and around your days out there. You’ll see where the rock goes, where the water goes and what gets planted before anything gets dug.

One crew builds it. The people who helped plan your landscape are the people who build it. Sketch to stone, with nobody in the middle guessing what the drawing meant.

“They brought the vision we had for our property to life. Professional, courteous, on-time, AND on budget. These guys are the real deal.” — Rick M.

Why winter is the time to plan

Our build season runs from about March or April through September, and it fills up. We design from October through February, set the schedule in March, and the plans finished over the winter get the earliest spring starts. We’ll even walk a property with snow on the ground. There’s more on how that works in plan in winter, build in spring.

The ground work behind it

Most of what makes a landscape last is under the surface. Before a wall goes up or a pond fills, the ground gets shaped, drained and packed. Our own operators handle the excavation and grading behind your landscape, so the person running the machine knows exactly what’s going on top.

See what we’ve built

A pond fed by waterfalls at Tumble Creek. A rockery wall in Ronald that runs more than 500 feet and held through record rain. Dry creek beds that carry snowmelt around a new home. The portfolio has the full story on each, and the service pages go deeper on each kind of work.

Good questions

Common questions

Don't see yours? Call or text 509-260-3659, or send us a note and Brandon will talk it through.

When should I start planning a landscape project?

Fall or winter. We design from October through February and set the build schedule in March, so plans finished over the winter get the earliest spring start.

Can you look at my property with snow on the ground?

Yes. We do winter walk-throughs, and the things that shape a design, like slope, sun, access and where water runs, still show under snow.

Do you design it, or build it too?

Both. The crew that helps plan your landscape also builds it, from the digging and grading to the rock work and the last plant.

Where do you work?

Kittitas County, mostly the upper county: Cle Elum, South Cle Elum, Roslyn, Ronald, Easton, Suncadia and the Teanaway, plus Thorp, Kittitas and Ellensburg.

Yard care is better with neighbors

Once your landscape is in, we can keep it looking the way it did on day one: mowing, trimming, bed refreshes and sprinkler care. Up here, much of what you pay for is our drive between yards, so when neighbors on the same road or in the same HOA sign up together, the price for everyone can drop a lot.

  • Trimming & pruning
  • Leaf clearing
  • Planting & seeding
